Ok guys here it is, first menu plan blog post. I asked and you guys requested so I hope you enjoy! :) Every Thursday night I will be posting our Dinner Menu Plan, on Fridays I will be filming the recipes for the dinner plan. I'm not sure how this is going to work out with filming because I only prep our dinners on Fridays, the rest is done during the week so I'm thinking the recipes will have a week delay from the blog post. If this makes any sense please let me know because I'm already lost! lol Our menu plan goes Thursday to Thursday because I do the grocery shopping on Fridays. JennD (Youtube)

Green Juice Recipe!

I'm sure you guys have heard me mention green juice before and I still believe it is one of the greatest things ever made. I started drinking the brand Naked, which offers other flavors besides green juice about two years ago. I was having some aches and pains here and there and had heard about it on t.v. actually. Well, to look at it is a little rough, It's this yucky green juice that just doesn't look tasty but to my surprise all I could taste was bananas an pineapples. Mmmm not to bad at all! So it's loaded and I mean loaded, with fruits and veggies, tons! Here is the list of ingredients, you might want to push back a little.

 2 3/4 Apples
1/2 Banana
1/3 Kiwi
1/3 Mango
a hint of Pineapple
1,300 mg Spirulina
400 mg Chlorella
100 mg Broccoli
100 mg Spinach
50 mg Blue Green Algae
50 mg Garlic
75 mg Barley Grass
75 mg Wheatgrass
50 mg Ginger
50 mg Parsley

Umm, yeah that is some serious stuff. lol So anyways, I started drinking about a cup of it every morning, over the week I noticed my aches and pains getting better, my stomach aches were getting better, my allergies, anytime there was a cold going around I did not get it! This stuff was great! I had a surgery awhile back and this was what I used to help yourself heal and I'll tell you it worked wonders!! Which if you think about it and does make sense. This one little drink holds everything your body needs, right here in a friggin bottle! Why the heck didn't I learn about this sooner!! Anyhow, the drink itself can get pricey but there are lots of recipes out there that are similar and of course being a tad bit addicted to Pinterest I have come across one that we have just gave a try and let me tell you it is delicious ! It is lacking quite a bit but for a nice change once in awhile it is really good. Ok I am down going on and on, here is the recipe should you be interested.

two handfuls of baby spinach, 1 cup of chunk pineapple, 2 bananas, 1 cup of yogurt and 1 cup of filtered water. Blend well and enjoy!

I made a double batch and filled some mason jars with it. It does need to be shaking up after it has been sitting but boy is it good!

Things and Stuff and Junk and More Things!

I think it has been about two years since I've gave becoming a Minimalist a lot of thought. Don't laugh! I'm actually very serious. lol Ok we can laugh for a moment. Now back to this nonsense. Two years ago I really started thinking about how everything around you (material things) affect you. Honestly, from your time, to your relationships, to your stress and your over all health. So I've gone back and forth with this decision and I really am leaning more towards it then away from it. Basically becoming a Minimalist for me anyway, would free up so much of my time and just make so many different stress disappear. I decided to do a Pro and Con list ;)

Pros                                                Cons

More free time                                                    Less to do
More time with my family                                 Might lose that cozy home feel
More time with Dave ;)                                      Fear of finishing something
More energy                                                       Might feel useless
Less stress                                                          Might feel bored
Less stress about time
Less stress about planning
Days would be easier to enjoy

So there you have it. The pros are looking pretty nice and even put me at ease as I read them. Why in the world I'm afraid of finishing things? I couldn't tell you. lol I guess it just kind of makes me nervous. Finished. The end. See, freaks me out! lol Really going to buckle down and gives this a lot of my thought for the next couple of days and when I figure it all out I will explain just what Minimalist means to me. ;)

Holidays arriving

Well It's almost that time again. Thanksgiving, Christmas, turkey, presents, shopping, decorations and madness! lol I often wonder why the holidays always start out so nice and then turn into madness. Michelle and I are planning something new this year for our family Thanksginving. A scavenger hunt! I always wanted to do a scavenger hunt but this one I'll just be planning. Should be lots of fun! These are the plates we're painting for the team that wins. I took this very cute turkey from a diecut and scanned it to my computer so I could print it out. We still have a lot to do but it's coming along pretty nice!
